Using Epals in Classrooms-Formal Correspondence

Epals is an online learning platform which allows you to add classes and provide students with individual logins using email addresses provided by Epals. According to Epals website, Epals provides a safe and easy way for your class to connect and collaborate, share content, and correspond formally with other classes internationally via emails. When you create an account with Epals, you have the ability to add as many students as you want.
My students and I both enjoyed using this site this Year.
Let's review some of Epals features:

1.  Able to create a class for students with email addresses.  This way, only the people you want to be in the class can join with the email addresses provided by you.
2.  You can join communities with other educators.  I enjoy visiting these and sharing ideas with other educators. My class nowadays is collaborating formally with students of a school in America. Since time zone was a problem and difficult to connect through Skype. Epals made it easier for me to connect internationally.
3.   They have a great app, so you can access this site even on the go.
4.  Epals allows me to monitor their emails so I can be certain nothing inappropriate is going on.
5. I can also monitor the incoming mail as well outgoing mails.
Again, Epals can do so much more....these are just the basics.  If you haven't checked it out, I highly encourage you to do so.  And, in my opinion it's not just for upper grades.  I envision primary grades using this as a way to communicate with international students. Perhaps even more!
